Vintage Scalamandre trompe L’Oeil Normandy blue ribbon, French wallpaper, 1986. Equivalent to 10+ single rolls at 5 yards each. Totals more than 50 yards (approximate 155 ft.) in length, as a single bolt. Rare hand print. Perfect for those that need to paper high walls.

JudScott New York hand-printed ultramarine blue, yellow striped wallpaper, 1970s. Judscott was a small high-end paper and textile company based in New York in the 1970s-80s, producing hand-printed custom work. We have one complete roll and a few partial rolls, fragments of this striking paper. As vibrant and fresh in person as it appears in photographs. Paper has the appearance of classic screenprints —heavy, matte pigment applied generously to a glossy paper, producing a multidimensional, textured surface and effect.

Brunschwig and Fils Boscobel Restoration Medford Inn 1804 hand-printed wallpaper. Very unusual paper – it is marked as custom hand-printed for the Boscobel Restoration, Inc. with a copyright date of 1977. The Boscobel Restoration is a rebuilt historic mansion in Garrison, NY using salvaged parts of an original Federal-period home that was demolished in the 1950s. This is a historic pattern, marked on the paper as “Medford Inn, 1804” and a registered design of the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities. The Medford Inn was built in 1804 and became known as a well-known hotel located on Main Street in Medford, Massachusetts. The design of the paper hearkens back to Roman tradition of wall decoration, with a trompe l’oleil effect that mimics ornate panelling and stone inlay. As per the this paper was also produced in a brown colorway and is part of the Digital Public Library of America and Historic New England Database (Ascension Number 2000.243). This listing is for a lot of about 11 triple rolls, as pictured. Some of the rolls are marked as triple rolls. Others we have weighed and they come in at about the same weight as the marked rolls, so we are assuming all triple rolls (about 15 yards continuous). It is a substantial amount overall. We have a separate listing if you would like to purchase per triple roll.

Paris 1734 La Cité Natural Cork Wallcovering, Schumacher Wallpaper, Mural. La Cité is a reproduction of the Turgot Map of Paris, originally published in 1739. Created by Louis Bretez, a member of the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture, the map is elaborately rendered in “false perspective,” or bird’s eye point of view. Bretez labored over the extraordinarily detailed plan for years, meticulously documenting each park, and window in the metropolis. The mural is an exacting record of 18th century Paris prior to Baron Haussman’s redesign of the city as well as a remarkable artwork in its own right. Schumacher’s La Cité became part of the Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum’s permanent collection in 1992. This set of wallcoverings consists of the map printed in blue-black ink on natural cork with paper backing. The experimental cork La Cité was printed in limited quantities from 2002-2007 and is no longer available for sale or custom order. Schumacher currently produces the black ink on cream paper version which retails for 3250 USD. La Cité consists of 5 panels, each panel measuring 25″ W by 108″ H. The 5 panels measure 125″ W by 78.5″ H with 12″ of ground below the design and 18″ of ground above. This set is untrimmed and has never been installed. This is an extremely rare find. Adorable and rare Brunschwig & Fils hand-printed wallpaper border inspired by Victorian design from the Victoria & Albert Museum. Have not been able to find any record of this design number and title (59154). B & F does limited edition collaborations with museums of art and design , small runs that are often only available to trade or special order at the museum. Two color ways are available here (and are quite similar). 59154-009 has cooler colors, most notably blue and purple. 59154-309 is pictured in the main photo and features green and vermillion instead. The trompe-l’oeil ribbons area differ as well, with 309 as pictured (yellow with green and red with white) while the cooler set has red fringe on the yellow ribbon juxtaposed with blue and white. This listing is for one roll of wallpaper border (5 yards x 9 in). I have 12 of each color way at the moment.
