Bronze sculpture by A. Levy titled “Bust With Bird.” This remarkable bust depicts a woman looking lovingly at a bird (dove) which she is holding in the palm of her hand. Great piece for all of the bird lovers out there.

A beautiful gilt bronze statue of Tibetan Green Tara. The Goddess is seated in lalitasana on an elaborately incised double-lotus base with the pendant foot resting on a smaller lotus, the right hand extended in varadamudra and the left held in vitarkamudra. She is clad in an embroidered dhoti that ties around her waist, leaving the upper torso bare showcasing lariats of necklace and jewel-encrusted bracelets. The face with down cast eyes above pursed lips, flanked by large rosette style shoulder duster earrings, under hair arranged in a tall chignon surmounted by an elaborate crown. The Green Tara, with one of her feet stepping down from the throne, is a beloved deity who is the first God to help ease suffering. 5.8 lb.

A beautiful gilt bronze Tibetan Vajrasattva statue. The serene face with large downcast eyes under arched eyebrows above pursed lips, flanked by long earlobes, under hair tied in double buns and adorned with an elaborate crown. Clad in a embroidered shrug covering the shoulders and a dhoti around the waist, with layers of necklaces draping over the bare bodice. Seated on a lotus throne in dhyana asana, in the right hand a vajra (thunderbolt), in the left hand a ghanta (bell), Vajrasattva removed negative energy and restores harmony. He is a purifier of minds. 6.35 lb.

This whimsical pair of Art Deco Bronze and Copper Sculptures of Seated Women by Ferdinando De Luca originate from Italy during the dawn of the 20th Century. Featuring a pair of women seated on stylized Art Nouveau open framed stools, the sculptures are both playful and rigorously executed. Both women are seated comfortably and each raise a drinking vessel in opposite hands as though casually participating in a celebratory toast. While at first glance these could mistaken as an identical mirrored pair, upon further observation one begins to notice subtle difference in posture and execution between the two figures. The positioning of the limbs vary as well as the angle of their neck and details of the drapery, lazily concealing and revealing the strong yet slender build of the figures. Rendered in a beautiful composition of patinated copper and bronze denoting the different materials of the figures, this stunning pair of sculptures are gems of 20th Century design and artistry, sure to style beautifully in a wide array of interiors and settings. Miguel Ortiz Berrocal 1969 Portrait de Michèle Puzzle Sculpture

Offered for sale is a 1969 Miguel Ortiz Berrocal limited edition nickel-plated puzzle sculpture titled, “Portrait de Michèle”. The sculpture is an abstract figural work comprised of 17 components. The puzzle sculpture depicts a female bust with a gemstone eye. It is signed Berrocal and numbered 6433 / 9,500. The puzzle is mounted on a resin base with a fitted bottom.

Miguel Berrocal Puzzle Sculpture La Mini Cariatide

Intricate puzzle sculpture by Spanish artist Miguel Berrocal. Sculpture consists of 25 pieces, plus a wearable ring with a brass heart design.

Decorate a shelf or a man’s office desk with this stately antique marble parrot sculpture. Created in France circa 1880, and carved of white marble, the figure stands on an integral rectangular base, and depicts a proud bird perched on branch with its head turned. The avian sculpture dressed with green glass eyes, features wonderful detailed carvings especially through the plumage and talons. The large sculpture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a beautiful patinated marble finish.

Okimono of a Standing Ram

A very finely chiseled Japanese okimono, this fine bronze sculpture of a Standing Ram showcases a high level of skill not only in the casting process but in the exceedingly good finishing work. The underlying surface texture glows under the translucent reddish-brown patina while the intricate layering of hair is achieved largely by hand: chiseling and engraving the surface, hand-hammering elements and working slowly to bring details to life. The model is signed on the belly with an illegible scrolling mark.

Condition Report:
Trace wear to the patina, including to the tip of the ears, the outer edge horns, spots in the face. Proper left ear with a subtle flattening, likely from being struck at some point. Proper left horn with an abrasion/gouge mark in the texture. Cleaned, waxed and polished, a fine presentation.
