Beautiful 1940s Johnson Brothers England set of floral plates in the Guildford Maroon pattern. The plates are in the Old English style with a rope edge rim. The Guildford pattern has maroon florals with gold accents, and gold trim around the center and the rim. Classic and elegant, these dinner plates would be gorgeous on a table mixed with other patterns. The plates have maker’s marks “Old English Johnson Bros. England B” with the B indicating the plates were made in the 1942-1945 time frame.
