Vintage Design
This chair has been reupholstered with brown leather and features a stained beech and bentwood frame. This model of a chair was used by Adolf Loos for the Cafe Capua, located in the heart of Vienna (Johannesgasse 3, 1st district), which was designed by himself. After the Cafe Museum and the Kärntner Bar, the Cafe Capua was the third interior design for a coffeehouse by Adolf Loos. This model Thonet No 519 is one of the design classics from this era. There is a maker’s label on the underside.
