Vintage Design
1970s Italian Chiavari gilt shiny brass chair with great vintage patina and perfect long lasting solid structure. The actual green velvet upholstery is in good condition but can be renewed to customers’ preference.
Chiavari chairs are named after the Italian city where they originated, a small town located on the Mediterranean shore side between Portofino and the Cinque Terre. Designed by Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi, these lightweight and elegant chairs with shapely crest rails and spindled backs are wonderfully handcrafted in Italy since the early 19th century. The iconic and elegant design has been a design staple for a century and has today, in its luxurious metal form, become synonymous with Hollywood Regency style.
