These are 1950’s original Tolix Model A dining outdoor chairs in a set of 6. Tolix is one of our all time favourite companies. In 1907 Frenchman Xavier Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix was the creator and founder of perhaps the most iconic cafe chair of all time, the Tolix model A, designed in 1934 and sadly now copied worldwide. This is a set of 6 rich dark green chairs in great condition. The chairs look as though they were originally green but have also at some stage been overpainted. They are stunning chairs full of character. Seat height is 45 cm.
