\n This is a fantastic Vintage original Mid-Century oil on masonite board by listed artist Leslie Helen Binner Buck (1907-1991). Buck is known for her still life paintings and this is a very good example of her work. The light and colors are just wonderful. It is signed in the lower left, and dated 1949 on the reverse. Unframed, as shown.<\/p>\n

Certification: Gallery Certificate of Authenticity included for items that sell for over $500. <\/p>\n

Condition: Very good condition. Minor signs of wear and handling along edges <\/p>\n

Measurements: Painting is approx 12″x9.5″ <\/p>\n

About the Artist: Buck was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 27, 1907, Leslie Binner studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and with Claude Buck after their marriage in 1934. With her husband, she moved to the Santa Cruz mountains in 1943 and in 1959 to Santa Barbara where she lived until her demise on June 28, 1991.<\/p>\n

A highly skilled painter, her works compare favorably to those of her husband.<\/p>\n
