Contemporary Design
This desk, designed by Gesa Hansen for her company The Hansen Family, is part of the Remix collection. Made from solid oak, it features an extendable worktop, and four colorful compartments for storage. The compartments are removable and are at the same level as the worktop, so anything can be easily stored.To create these unique pieces, Gesa Hansen collects locally sourced oak and hand-crafts each item.
This reinterpretation of a secretary desk was awarded the Red Dot design award in 2010, as well as the Good Design Award Chicago Athaneum, 2010.
