Mid 20th Century Chalk Ware Cherub Bookends – Set of 2

These are a delightful pair of angel / cherub bookends. They are made from plaster / chalk ware and are quite heavy. They have been finished in gold gilt paint.

They are marked in pen (unseen) underneath with some letters and numbers. These bookends were sourced at the Los Angeles “Sony Prop House” closing down auction – so if you think you may have seen them in a film or T.V. show then you probably have! I have no C.O.A. other then the letters / numbers which Sony added on the bottom of them (I assume as not to lose them on a studio set somewhere!).

They measure: 5″ (W) x 4 5/8″ (D) x 7″ (H) They EACH weigh a hefty 3lb 12oz.
Materials: Chalk ware / gold finish.

This pair would grace any book collection wonderfully, whilst also making a most thoughtful gift.
