Contemporary Design
The Square Chair, as it has become known, is an early design of Richard Lowry’s which uses solid 3-inch thick hardwood throughout the piece. Combining influences from radical architecture and bold sculptural forms the chair fits equally well as a statement piece in a modernist kitchen as it does as an occasional chair in a traditional hallway.
From the mahogany family of trees, sapele has a rich dark brown luster which not only compliments lighter-toned woods such as ash or oak but also sits perfectly amongst darker pieces.
Designed by Richard Lowry the Square Chair is Limited to eight editions. Each piece is handmade and signed by the designer.
