Vintage Design
Pair of 50s teak armchairs very nice quality.
The sleek and angular line evokes of course the French functionalist design post war including the FS-105 model Pierre Guariche.
The structure is solid teak trimmed with zigzag springs on which are put soft cushions for unparalleled comfort. The seats are not filled foams but probably feathers. A flap on the back cushion closes the rear seats by pressure buttons and so hide the springs.

The structure is solid teak trimmed with zigzag springs on which are put soft cushions for unparalleled comfort. The seats are not filled foams but probably feathers. A flap on the back cushion closes the rear seats by pressure buttons and so hide the springs.
These chairs are from the legacy of former officials who worked in many French colonies and protectorates of the time (Madagascar, Indochina, Thailand, Africa …), so they may have been made in these exotic lands.
The structure is in perfect original condition, the fabric is also in excellent condition but would require a good cleaning steam in case you want to keep the original.
Priced at the unit.
